Jaclyn found her way into accounting from an unlikely starting place with her BSc in Chemistry from the University of Guelph in hand, she then decided being a scientist wasn’t for her and turned her love of data and problem solving to accounting. She completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Accounting through the Odette School of Business, and has since worked her way through the CPA-PEP program and successfully wrote the CFE in 2020.
She joined the Hawkins & Co team in July 2016 after graduating from the University of Windsor. Since joining the team she has quickly fallen in love with the bespoke style of client interaction and unique pieces of technology that make up our tailored processes.
After a year with the team on the ground in Windsor, Jaclyn and her husband Paul started a new adventure in Vancouver BC – as he began work at BC Children’s Hospital and she became the first staff member to work for H & Co. remotely. In her downtime, she loves to cook, hike and she is always planning her next trip.
